Rix Group Expands Presence at Montrose Port

Rix Group has further strengthened its presence at Montrose Port following the completion of two significant property deals, marking another important investment in the Group's commercial property portfolio in Scotland.

Through its property division, Rix Properties, the Group has acquired a 56,000 sq ft warehousing facility on Cobden Road from Wynnstay Group Plc. The acquisition expands Rix Group's existing footprint at Montrose Port, where the business has maintained a presence for more than 70 years.

 Alongside the acquisition, Rix Properties has secured a 10-year lease agreement with Glasson Fertilisers, a subsidiary of Wynnstay Group Plc, for its existing 107,000 sq ft warehouse facility on Barrack Road.

 The Barrack Road facility, originally constructed by Rix Group approximately 10 years ago and previously used for grain storage, is being transformed into a modern manufacturing facility to support Glasson Fertilisers' expanding operations in Scotland.

 The new premises will enable Glasson Fertilisers to double its blending capacity in Scotland, improve operational efficiency and accommodate increasing customer demand.

 As part of the wider agreement, Rix Cargo Solutions, another Rix Group business based in Montrose, will also provide stevedoring and ships agency services to Glasson Fertilisers, further strengthening the relationship between the two organisations.

The completion of both agreements reflects Rix Group's continued commitment to investing in commercial property and supporting the long-term requirements of businesses operating within its portfolio.
