As the fifth generation in the family business, Tim has brought success to both Rix and the wider Humber region, for which he was awarded a CBE in 2017. He has a degree in Engineering and Business Studies and a HGV class 1 ADR licence.
Tim has held a number of positions outside the company including Vice Chair of the Humber LEP, Chair Greenport Growth Programme, Chair of Hull Leadership board, a member of Bridlington Harbour Commissioners, founder member of For Entrepreneurs Only, and a Trustee of The Royal Yorkshire Yacht Club. He is currently an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and founder of The Lagoon Hull Project.
As a sixth generation family member to join Rix, Harry brings an entrepreneurial approach to new business start-ups, digital transformation, and ESG activities across the group. Harry previously worked as an Innovation Consultant at Accenture and has founded the Group’s first fully digital company, Accountabl.
James has driven a highly effective growth strategy at Victory Leisure Homes, focusing on design, manufacturing, and product innovation. In addition, he is responsible for all the group’s shipping, ports, and marine activities. James is a Master Mariner and holds an MBA.
Main Board Member and Director of Rix Petroleum. Since joining the company in 1987, Duncan’s responsibilities have grown to cover all things petroleum across the group, including Fuelmate, Rix Heating, Rix Truck Services, and our newest green business, Rix Energy Services. As a formally trained General Engineer, Duncan will find a fix to every problem. He’s even a qualified balloon pilot and flies the Rix hot air balloon.
As well as managing strategy, governance, and compliance, Rory is involved in acquisitions, disposals, and new business start-ups. Rory has been part of Rix for 30 years and is a keen advocate for strong corporate culture. He is the president of the UK and Ireland Fuel Distributions Association, and completed an MBA at Hull University Business School in 2012, where he sits on the advisory board.
Rob is an FCCA qualified accountant who joined Rix in 2010 after a 6 year career in private practice. He worked in finance roles in various parts of the business before becoming the group CFO in 2020. Rob is responsible for the group’s finance function, including treasury and corporate finance.
Peter has worked at Rix for over 50 years, through 3 generations of the family. After working for an international haulage company in Holland, Peter joined Rix as a trainee salesman in the motor business. His work has spanned all of our motor operations, including running the forecourts, convenience stores, truck stocks, and more recently, property.
